Willie Stargell smashed his 26th homer, connecting with two on base in the first inning, to start the Pirates off to a 6-2 victory over the Mets. Stargell also batted in another run with a double in the second to raise his RBI total to 72. Roberto Clemente joined in the Pirates' attack with four hits. [The Sporting News]
