The Tigers scored once in the first inning when Dick McAuliffe and Mickey Stanley singled and Norm Cash hit a sacrifice fly. A double by Aurelio Rodriguez, single by Gene Lamont, a sacrifice and single by McAuliffe added a pair in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
