. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Bert Campaneris and Joe Rudi each rapped two hits and scored two runs apiece to lead the Athletics to a 6-4 victory over the Twins. After hitting singles in the first inning, both scored on a double by Reggie Jackson.

Rudi reached base again on a forceout in the fourth and subsequently counted on a single by Sal Bando. Then, in the eighth, Campaneris batted in a run with a single, stole second and scored on a single by Rudi. [The Sporting News]
