A two-run homer by George Scott in the fourth inning and three-run smash by Carl Yastrzemski in the sixth powered the Red Sox to a 6-4 victory over the Tigers. Bill Freehan homered with a man on base for the Tigers in third, but Scott's blow tied the score and Yastrzemski's homer broke the deadlock. [The Sporting News]
