With two out, the Braves scored four runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Expos, 7-3. Sonny Jackson walked and, after a sacrifice by Zoilo Versalles and infield out by Hal King, scored on a single by Felix Millan to break a 3-3 tie. Hank Aaron drew a pass as a pinch-hitter.
