Willie Montanez, Roger Freed and Don Money each batted in two runs to enable the Phillies to defeat the Braves, 6-5. Earl Williams homered with two men on base to give the Braves a 5-4 lead in the third inning, but the Phillies tied the score in the fifth when Deron Johnson singled and Money doubled. Denny Doyle and Larry Bowa walked in the eighth and, after an error by Hank Aaron, playing first base, Montanez hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run. [The Sporting News]
