Completing the sweep of the four-game series, the Cubs defeated the Dodgers, 4-2. Ken Holtzman, pitching with two days of rest, gave up 10 hits, four of them by Willie Davis, but the Dodgers scored only in the first inning. Don Kessinger had four hits for the Cubs and scored three runs. Billy Williams drove in Kessinger each time with a double and a pair of singles. [The Sporting News]
