Danny Frisella relieved and passed Lou Brock intentionally to load the bases. Matty Alou grounded to Ken Boswell, but his throw to second was too late on the attemped forceout of Brock as Maxvill scored. Ted Simmons beat out an infield hit to plate Beauchamp.
