A homer by Don Money in the eighth inning enabled the Phillies to bank a 4-3 victory over the Cubs. Money's drive put the Phillies ahead, 4-2. The Cubs rallied for a run with two out in the ninth on a double by Chris Cannizzaro and single by Brock Davis, but Billy Wilson replaced Ken Reynolds and ended the threat by forcing Ernie Banks to pop up for the final out.
