. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Two consecutive errors by Jack Heidemann enabled the Angels to take the lead with a pair of unearned runs en route to a 5-1 victory over the Indians. Heidemann booted successive grounders by Ken McMullen and John Stephenson in the fourth inning.

After Stephenson was forced out by Jim Spencer, Roger Repoz singled McMullen home to tie the score at 1-1. A walk to Bruce Christensen loaded the bases. Rudy May forced Spencer at the plate, but Sandy Alomar singled to drive in Repoz with the Angels' go-ahead run. [The Sporting News]
