Zoilo Versalles smashed two homers in support of Ron Reed's six-hit pitching as the Braves defeated the Giants, 4-2. The veteran infielder's first homer tied the score at 2-2 in the seventh inning.

The Braves then added the go-ahead run in the same stanza on singles by Reed, Felix Millan and Hank Aaron. Versalles slammed his other homer in the eighth for an insurance tally. [The Sporting News]
