Pitching in relief, Eddie Fisher allowed only two hits in the final 4 2/3 innings and gained the victory when the Angels defeated the Indians, 7-2. Fisher replaced Tom Murphy when the Indians threatened to erase the Angels' 3-2 lead. The Angels then pulled away to their final margin with the aid of homers by Billy Cowan and Ken McMullen.
