Back-to-back homers by Deron Johnson and Roger Freed in the fourth inning started the Phillies off to a 4-0 victory over the Braves. The Phillies added another run in that same stanza on a single by Don Money, his stolen base and another single by John Vukovich.

Three singles and a sacrifice fly by Tim McCarver added the final tally in the seventh. Rick Wise posted the shutout, although tagged for 11 hits by the Braves. [The Sporting News]
