Lew Krausse and Ken Sanders combined on a six-hitter and batterymate Paul Ratliff smashed a two-run homer as the Brewers defeated the Angels, 2-0. Loser Tom Murphy retired the first 12 batters before Jose Cardenal singled to open the fifth inning. Johnny Briggs flied out to deep right field, pointing the direction for Ratliff, who cleared the fence at that point with his homer. [The Sporting News]
