A six-run outburst in the eighth inning brought the Pirates a 10-6 victory over the Expos. Gene Alley touched off the uprising with his second homer of the game to tie the score at 5-5.

Two walks around an error then loaded the bases and Manny Sanguillen cleared them with a triple. After another walk, Vic Davalillo doubled to drive in the final two runs. [The Sporting News]
