Pinch-hitter Gary Sutherland came through with a run-scoring single in the 11th inning to carry the Expos to a 4-3 victory over the Pirates. With one out, Boots Day beat out an infield hit and stopped at second on a single by Ron Brand. Sutherland then batted for Mike Marshall and delivered his winning hit. [The Sporting News]
