A bases-loaded double by Amos Otis in the seventh inning propelled the Royals to a 7-4 victory over the Twins. The Royals were losing, 4-3, when Bobby Knoop led off the seventh with a pinch-triple to kayo Tom Hall. Stan Williams, in relief, hit Freddie Patek with a pitch.

After Patek stole second, Cookie Rojas was handed a walk to load the bases. Otis then cleared the sacks with his double and scored himself on a single by Chuck Harrison. [The Sporting News]
