Led by Earl Williams, who smashed two homers and two singles, the Braves piled up 16 hits and defeated the Astros, 10-5. Williams singled in the first inning when the Braves scored five runs with the aid of a bases-loaded double by Marty Perez. After driving in a run with another single in the second, Williams homered with a man on base in the fourth and came back again in the next stanza with his second round-tripper of the game.
