Three of Jim Slaton's teammates drove in two runs apiece to help the Brewers' rookie righthander defeat the Indians, 9-1. Johnny Briggs homered with a man on base in the first inning and Dave May drove in another run with a single. May added an RBI with a single in the third and Ellie Rodriguez batted in two with a double as the Brewers piled up five runs during the stanza. [The Sporting News]
