Harmon Killebrew singled with the bases loaded in the ninth inning and drove in two runs to enable the Twins to defeat the Tigers, 4-3. Willie Horton homered for the Tigers, who took a 3-2 lead on a run-scoring double by Mickey Stanley in the ninth. In the Twins' half, a double by Holt, infield hit by Cesar Tovar and pass to Rod Carew filled the sacks before Killebrew rapped his winning single. [The Sporting News]
