Gary Sutherland batted in three runs with a single and homer to provide the Expos' margin in a 6-3 victory over the Dodgers. Jim Fairey, Boots Day and Rusty Staub singled off Bill Singer to open the game and Ron Fairly walked to force in the first run. After Bob Bailey struck out, Sutherland drove in two tallies with a single.

Bobby Wine doubled and Fairey singled to add a run in the fourth. Bailey homered in the fifth and Sutherland hit for the circuit in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
