The Mets broke their five-game losing streak behind the pitching of Tom Seaver, who shut out the Dodgers, 6-0, and extended his scoreless streak to 27 innings, setting the Mets' club record. Seaver also had held the former mark of 26 zeroes in a row, estabished early this season.
