Relief specialist Ken Tatum, coming out of the bullpen for his first major league start, got a rude greeting from his former Angel teammates, who knocked him out while scoring all their runs in the first inning to defeat the Red Sox, 4-3. Sandy Alomar singled, Tony Gonzalez doubled with one out and Ken McMullen walked to load the bases.
