Milt May not only joined Bob Robertson in a homer act, but the Pirates' second-string catcher also singled with the bases loaded in the ninth inning to defeat the Astros, 3-2. Robertson connected in the second inning and May in the fourth.

After the Astros rallied to tie the score, Willie Stargell doubled in the ninth and gave way to Gene Clines. An intentional walk to Manny Sanguillen, batting for Richie Hebner, and another pass to Robertson loaded the bases and set the stage for May's winning hit. [The Sporting News]
