Rusty Staub and Boots Day drove in nine runs between them as the Expos blasted the Dodgers, 12-6, for their eighth straight victory. The Expos started the attack with five runs in the second inning.

Day accounted for two with a single and Staub drove in one with a sacrifice. Day and Ron Fairly hit homers in the fourth, Day's blow coming with a man on base. Then, in the eighth, Staub capped the Expos' scoring with a grand slam. [The Sporting News]
