Tommy Davis, Angel Mangual and Dick Green drove in two runs apiece as the Athletics defeated the Yankees, 8-2. Davis picked up his RBIs with infield outs in the fourth and seventh innings, Mangual batted in his pair with a double in the seventh and Green hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth and a homer in the eighth.
