Coming from behind, the Senators scored four runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Angels, 5-4. Homers by Jim Fregosi and John Stephenson helped the Angels take a 4-1 lead before Frank Howard opened the Senators' sixth with a 406-foot smash over the center field fence.

Jeff Burroughs walked and scored on a double by Dick Billings. After a single by Dave Nelson and pass to Elliott Maddox loaded the bases, Toby Harrah singled to drive in the tying and winning runs. [The Sporting News]
