Supported by a pair of three-run homers, Blue Moon Odom turned in his first complete game since June 27 and pitched the Athletics to a 6-2 victory over the Senators. Curt Blefary homered following singles by Joe Rudi and Angel Mangual in the first inning and Mangual hit for the circuit after Bert Campaneris and Rudi singled in the third.
