With Reggie Smith providing the principal batting support, Roger Moret turned in the first complete game of his brief major league career and pitched the Red Sox to a 6-2 victory over the Angels. Smith singled to drive in one of two Red Sox runs in the first inning and homered with two men on base in the fourth.
