Two unearned runs enabled the Padres to defeat the Braves, 3-2. In the first inning, Enzo Hernandez was safe on an error by Felix Millan, took second on an infield out, moved to third on a passed ball and scored on a grounder by Cito Gaston.

A single by Gaston and double by Leron Lee gave the Padres an earned run in the fourth, but their deciding tally in the seventh was tainted.
