. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A homer by Reggie Jackson following an infield hit by Rick Monday in the 10th inning lifted the Athletics to a 5-3 victory over the Twins. The A's, after using a walk, singles by Angel Mangual and Dick Green and an error for two runs in the second, added another tally in the third when Monday tripled and Jackson singled. The Twins came back with two runs in the seventh on four singles and tied the score in the eighth when Cesar Tovar and Tony Oliva doubled. [The Sporting News]
