. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Two homers by Graig Nettles and one by Roy Foster accounted for all of the Indians' runs in a 5-2 victory over the Yankees. New York also got its runs on a homer, Felipe Alou connecting with a man on base in the first inning.

The Indians bounced back with three runs in their half on a double by Ted Uhlaender and homers by Foster and Nettles. Two other tallies followed in the eighth when Ray Fosse doubled and Nettles hit his second homer of the game. [The Sporting News]
