A career-long nemesis of the Astros, Pat Jarvis beat them for the fourth straight time this season, pitching four scoreless innings of relief for the Braves to receive credit for a 4-3 victory. Jarvis entered the game with the score tied, 3-3, and was handed the winning run in the eighth when the Braves counted on two walks and a single by Sonny Jackson.
