Juan Pizarro decided his own duel with Tom Seaver by hitting a homer in the eighth inning to give the Cubs a 1-0 victory over the Mets. The defeat snapped a seven-game winning streak for Seaver, who had gone unbeaten since his previous loss to Pizarro, 3-2, August 1. [The Sporting News]
