. . . where the 1970s live forever!
After Jim Breazeale led off the seventh inning with the first homer of his major league career, the Braves added five unearned runs on three errors to defeat the Reds, 6-2. Following Breazeale's homer, Dusty Baker was safe on an error by Jimmy Stewart and Tony LaRussa and Bob Didier singled to load the bases.

Stewart drew his second error, booting a grounder by Gil Garrido, as two runs scored. Another run counted on a forceout by Leo Foster. Oscar Brown doubled to drive in the fifth run of the frame and the final marker counted when Lee May erred on a grounder by Darrell Evans. Tom House was the beneficiary and gained his first major league victory. [The Sporting News]
