. . . where the 1970s live forever!

After Amos Otis drove in one run and scored another in a 2-1 victory, the Royals completed the sweep of a doubleheader by defeating the White Sox, 4-3, on a run-scoring single by Steve Hovley in the 10th inning. Otis, who singled for an RBI in the third inning of the lidllfter, singled again in the fifth and stopped at third on a double by John Mayberry. Lou Piniella walked and on a forceout by Bob Oliver, Otis scored the deciding run.

In the nightcap, Paul Schaal walked in the 10th and advanced on an infield out by Cookie Rojas before crossing the plate on Hovley's single. [The Sporting News]
