. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Formerly with the Reds, Milt Wilcox made his first A. L. start for the Indians and pitched a two-hitter to defeat the Red Sox, 4-0. Tommy McCraw, who replaced the injured Chris Chambliss at first base for the Indians in the sixth inning, came to bat in the eighth and smashed a three-run homer. The Patriots Day game, which began at 11 a.m., drew a crowd of 24,989. [The Sporting News]
