Light-hitting Gene Michael tripled with the bases loaded in the fifth inning to bring the Yankees a 3-2 victory over the Brewers. The triple was Michael's first since 1970 and only his eighth since breaking into the major leagues in 1966. The Brewers counted their runs on a homer by Johnny Briggs in the ninth.
