Although Claude Osteen had not pitched competitively since appearing in an exhibition game March 28, the Dodgers' lefthander breezed to an 11-1 victory over the Braves. Oscar Brown wrecked Osteen's bid for a shutout with a homer in the ninth inning. The Dodgers' 18 hits included seven consecutive singles during a six-run outburst in the second inning.
