Vic Davalillo hit a homer in the 10th inning to give the Pirates a 3-2 victory over the Phillies. While Davalillo won the game, Manny Sanguillen and Gene Alley kept the Pirates from losing it. With two out in the ninth, Sanguillen hit a pinch-single and raced home with the tying run on a double by Alley.
