A three-run homer by Don Mincher in the first inning and a two-run single by Joe Lovitto in the third provided the Rangers with a 5-2 victory over the Angels. Bill Gogolewski, who started for the Rangers, gave up three hits for one run and retired only one batter before he was yanked by manager Ted Williams.
