The Rangers completed a four-game sweep of their first home series by defeating the Angels, 6-4. Toby Harrah, who singled and scored the Rangers' first run in the fifth inning, batted in two tallies with another single in the sixth to the tie game at 3-3.

After the Angels regained the lead with a run in the seventh, the Rangers loaded the bases on a single by Dave Nelson and two walks in their half. Larry Biittner then singled to drive in two runs. Elliott Maddox walked to reload the sacks and Harrah drew a pass to force in the final tally. [The Sporting News]
