The Royals ended a six-game losing streak when Dick Drago pitched a two-hitter and defeated the Orioles, 3-0. The Royals scored two of their runs off Pat Dobson in the second inning on singles by John Mayberry, Lou Piniella and Cookie Rojas, an intentional pass to Jerry May and forceout by Drago.
