Breaking up a three-hour, 36-minute game, Richie Hebner homered with two men on base in the 13th inning to lift the Pirates to a 5-2 victory over the Reds. Roberto Clemente drew a walk and, after two out, advanced to second on a wild pitch. The Reds then passed Manny Sanguillen intentionally, but the move was wrecked with Hebner's homer.
