Tommie Agee hit a grand-slam homer in the eighth inning to climax the Mets' scoring in a 6-1 victory over the Dodgers before a crowd of 51,210. With the score tied, Jerry Grote singled and when Jon Matlack bunted both runners were safe on a late throw to second. Bud Harrelson singled to load the bases and Ken Boswell followed with a single to drive in the tie-breaking run before Agee iced the game with his slam. [The Sporting News]
