Capping a four-run rally in the eighth inning, pinch-hitter Carmen Fanzone knocked in two tallies with a double to provide the Cubs with a 6-4 victory over the Reds. Art Shamsky drew a pass to open the eighth and Bill North, running for him, scored on a single by Don Kessinger and sacrifice fly by Glenn Beckert.
