A single by Leron Lee scored Enzo Hernandez with two out in the 14th inning to give the Padres a 3-2 victory over the Expos. Don Mason opened the stanza with a pinch single, but Derrel Thomas forced Mason and Hernandez, in turn, forced Thomas.

However, Hernandez then stole second, leading to a change of pitchers by the Expos. Denny Lemaster replaced Tom Walker and, on his first delivery, Lee hit his single to end the game. [The Sporting News]
