Larry Dierker pitched a five-hitter and Jim Wynn drove in all of the Astros' runs to account for a 3-0 victory over the Cubs. Roger Metzger singled in the first inning and, after a wild pitch by Burt Hooton and an infield out, scored on a grounder by Wynn. Cesar Cedeno was hit by a pitch in the fifth and Wynn followed with a homer to wrap up the victory. [The Sporting News]
