Carmen Fanzone, subbing for Ron Santo, who was out of action with a fracture of his wrist, smashed two homers and drove in four runs as the Cubs defeated the Astros, 6-4. Jim Hickman accounted for the Cubs' first two tallies, hitting a homer in the first inning after Billy Williams was safe on an error.
