The Dodgers erupted for four runs in the fourth inning, capping the attack with a homer by Steve Garvey, to defeat the Expos, 5-2. Willie Davis and Willie Crawford singled and Jim Lefebvre hit a sacrifice fly for the first run of the frame to tie the score at 2-2.

Crawford, who advanced to second, crossed the plate with the go-ahead run on a single by Dick Dietz. Garvey then smashed his homer to account for an extra pair. [The Sporting News]
